For installation, I first start with mounting backplate from the backside of the motherboard. Then I turned the motherboard up and slide in the white plastic washer to control the screws. The bracket is placed on the screw and tightened it up with dedicated screws that come along. Finally, the cooler is landed over chip and by using retention plate I tighten the screws to finish the installation. Before that, I also install Coldwing 14 fan. Steel Fan clips help in mounting the fan.

Overview to Testing Environment

  • Temperature test run Prime95 and AIDA64 CPU stress Tests
  • Idle and Load Temperatures
  • Aida for Typical/Normal Load
  • Prime 95 for Maximum Load
  • All the test run long for about 10 minutes
  • 4x 2200RPM Fans are used for additional airflow
  • Overclocking beyond 4.2GHz also taken into consideration
  • Ambient Temperature between 34C
